Baby Brother

I am so proud of my baby brother, Ian. He is going to college at University of California at San Diego pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering. He's also had the opportunity to pursue one of his passions: racing bikes. Ever since we were little, Ian has loved street bikes. I have childhood memories of motorcycles racing by on the street outside our house and my little brother running to the window to watch them go by. He loved to make the sound effects of the engines. (I'm probably really embarrassing him now, but I'm his big sis so it's allowed.) Now my "baby" brother is 23 and all grown up and taller than me. He's working at Buy Moto in San Diego and has his own bike and racing gear. In the last couple of years he's gotten more serious about his hobby and most recently has begun racing on tracks. This weekend he is racing at a track near Las Vegas and in a couple weeks he'll be down racing at a track close to our hometown of Yuba City called Willows. It's so fun to see him pursuing his passion. Below are some pictures that a professional photographer took of Ian during one of his races down in Southern California. Doesn't he look great??? Happy Birthday, Beautiful Lady! For those of you that don't know, LeiLani and I have known each other our whole lives. The proof is in the picture... I have to admit that watching my in-laws with Daniel and especially watching my husband hold him does make me excited for what the future holds. :) How amazing that one day the baby that Steven will be holding in pictures will be ours?!?! Soon... but not yet... :)

I adore this little guy! I told Steven, "I'm in love!" I never expected to love this little baby so very much. I can't even imagine how Cara and Justin must feel!!! I think I also love that fact that he is my dear friend's son and I have the honor of being a part of his life and watching him grow up... how unbelievable! Watching Cara with him is so inspiring. She is an amazing mother!

I'M AN AUNTIE!!!!! :)

Our very dear friends, Cara and Justin Garland had their first baby last night! They were waiting to find out the sex of the baby and they had a son! Daniel James Garland was born at 8:56pm, weighing 7lbs 6 oz and he is 20 inches long. Cara is amazing! She did it all without an epideral!!! Daniel is absolutely perfect and beautiful. He has Justin's lips and Cara's nose and a full head of dark hair. Justin and Cara are the first of our close group of friends to have a baby. A bunch of us were at the hospital last night and got to see Justin, Cara and Daniel. All I can say is that was an emotion I've never felt before to walk into the room and see one of your very best friends lying in a hospital bed holding her son... Words can't even describe it. That was a night I will remember for the rest of my life... I'm trying to get pictures to post so everyone can see how adorable he is! I'm an auntie! :)

Amy Tice is the Blog Queen!!!

Okay, I would just like everyone to know (if you didn't already) that Amy Tice is the blog queen! She totally made my and Steven's blog way more fun (Told you I'm ready for summer...)!!!
