We Are Family!

Bringing Home Baby
Auntie Alie (after staying up all night... Elijah was only a couple hours old!)

Grandma... Hmm... I'm not sure how I feel about that...

Grandpa... Hmm... I'm not sure how I feel about that either...

Uncle Ian (Who was REALLY cute with Elijah, by the way)

Us "Kids"

Pretty Mama

Beautiful Baby For those of you that don't know, Elijah has had a pretty tough first week. His bilirubin count went up too high, which is an indicator that he could get jaundice if his levels didn't go back down. Nat and Shawn brought him home on Wednesday night, but had to take him back to the doctor on Thursday morning and 3 times on Friday to get his blood drawn and checked. Their Doctor readmitted Elijah into the hospital on Friday night and kept him there under special lights until Saturday night at 10pm when he got to come home again. His bilirubin count has gone down and for now, it looks like he's out of the woods, but the poor little guy has been back and forth to the doctor so many times, we haven't been able to see him much. He's been such a good baby though! He's been pricked and poked so many times to draw his blood so they can check his levels, but he is being so good for his mommy and daddy. What a precious little guy! I'm looking forward to spending more time with him during this next week. Ian flew up from college in San Diego for the weekend to meet his nephew. It's been fun having the 3 of us siblings together again since it doesn't happen too often anymore. Steven is flying in this Friday to meet Elijah and hang out for the weekend, so I'm looking forward to that as well. A heartfelt thanks to all of you who have prayed for Elijah!

I love the way births bring families together! You all look so giddy (as you should)!

Tell Nat I'm praying for her and Shawn...it can be tough in the beginning, especially with no sleep and nursing and fighting off jaundice and watching your tiny baby get poked. She's blessed to have all of you there to help her through!

Thank you... we really love the bedding. And yes we're still going to wait to find out. The only way that we'll know before it arrives is if the little one shows us on an accident! :)
